Currently, none of my syllabi are available here, but hopefully, this will soon be remedied. In case you are wondering about my background--I was born and raised in New York City. I came to Alaska originally back in the 70's, but moved here for good in 1983. I am a Charter College graduate--I hold an Associates degree in Office Applications and one in Accounting. After that, I worked here in the front office while I was pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Wayland Baptist University. When I completed that program, I moved on to the University of La Verne, where I received my Masters in Business, with a specialization in Human Resource Management and Development. Since 2000, I have been working on my Doctorate in Education through the Fielding Graduate University out of Santa Barbara, CA. I am in the "dissertation phase" (which is a technical term for "constant insanity"), and hope to be done with this degree sometime within the next year--but of course, that all depends on my committee! I began teaching here at Charter in 2001, and find it a rewarding experience. It's great to be able to give back to my Alma Mater. I have extensive experience in the business world, and have worked for many years in office environments, ranging from large, global companies, to small local businesses, both here and in New York. On the personal side, I have three boys (one who is 50, one who is 23 and getting married this year, and one who is 20 and going to school here), and a very crazy schedule. As of December 10, 2007, I was promoted to the position of Associate Director for the Anchorage Campus. As such, I am here on campus most of the time - but I am most reachable by e-mail, as listed above. If you need to see me personally, please e-mail for a time that we can get together. I am always happy to see students, but a large part of my job calls for me to attend meetings, and fun stuff like that - so I may not always be in my office. . |
