Printer Troubleshooting Guide
For this guide, we’re going to use Room 207 (The Library) as an example. Your room number may be different, but the steps are all the same. I’m also going to assume that when you hit print, the printer’s staying quiet.
So, look at the print dialog, especially the name of the printer that you want to print to.

If the name of the printer matches the room that you’re in, this means that it’s a problem with the printer itself. Check to see if there’s paper, see if it’s complaining about toner, whichever. Fix what’s ailing it, and then press the green “Continue” button.
If the name of the printer doesn’t match the room that you’re in, that means that it’s printing somewhere else, and you need to change it so that it will print to the printer you want to.
To do this, click the Start Menu, then choose “Printers and Faxes”

This will open up the Printers and Faxes window. If you see the printer of the room you want, you need to change the default printer. If you don’t see the printer of the room you want, you’ll need to add a printer.
Change a default printer

Right click on the printer you want to print to, then choose “Set as Default Printer”.

Now, all you have to do is make the computer print to the right place.
Add a printer

Click “Add a printer” on the left side, and it’ll pop open the “Add a Printer wizard”

Click the “Network Printer” button, then click Next.

Click “Connect to this printer”, type in “\\dozer\”, and then choose which printer you want to add.

Click “Yes”, then finish adding the printer.

Print to the right place

If the printer window looks like the above, you’re in the right place. So, go back to your application, open up the print dialog.

Click on the little arrow, and choose the right printer.

Now, you’re printing at the right place!
